PT. AVINDO SERVICES INTERNUSA was founded to produce tons litres of biodiesel per annum and will involve planting, cultivating and harvesting the plant; dehulling and crushing the seeds; shipping it to a conversion plant and finally blending it with petro diesel to fulfill the needs of transport and industry.

PT. AVINDO SERVICES INTERNUSA and HPJPI (Himpunan Petani Jarak Pagar Indonesia) are entering a partnership to produce feedstocks that do not compete with food production and can be grown sustainably on fallow land.

Our strategy is to produce inedible oil sustainably from Jatropha curcas for low-cost production of biodiesel, by form a partnership with local farmers. The investment will be made through directly managed plantations on owned or leased land and through contract farming and seed purchase agreements, which will provide significant employment for local communities.

The ‘Kyoto Protocol’ which is the United Nations framework convention on climate change requires the introduction of biodiesels into the transport and industrial fuel market in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions which cause global warming.

PT. AVINDO SERVICES INTERNUSA have invested about 1,8 million jatropha plant (around 800 hectares) from a planned investment of total  5 million jatropha plant on 2010 and the project will seek to cultivate 25 million jatropha plant or around 10,000 hectares in Garut Sub-Province, West Java, Indonesia.

Production of jatropha oil is expected to begin in 2009.
